Process daily transactional administrative work and drive process excellence for the number of plants in the area group.
This includes work such as SAP data entry, production reporting, power accruals, product pick up entries, driver payroll, payables and trip administration.
This role will also act as a central point of contact for field related procurement activities, driving process improvements, and enforcing standards.
Principal
Responsibilities:
Provides senior level coaching for business process excellence administrators and regional staff.
In the absence of the business process excellence manager, provides leadership and guidance to their respective teams.
Responsible for the training and development of new team members.
Responsible for training existing business process excellence administrators in processes other than those related to their core activities.
Maintain own proficiency in all processes the area is responsible for.
Leads change management activities for the BPE organization.
Enter data into SAP for a given set of areas including:
Tonnage, Railcars, Trailer Fills, Losses, Power Usage, Power Accruals, Product Pick ups and Daily Production Recording Manage and be responsible for quality of data going into SAP for a given area group Communicate with management any issues with production/invoice data Be the main contact for SAP data related questions for a given area group Process payroll for plants within the area group, ensuring best practices are followed and payroll meets Messer's standards and rules Monitor and track trips data entry compliance for area plants, follow up with local site management if problems occur and if additional training and enforcement is necessary Ensure trip data is recorded correctly and prompt.
Resolve errors to ensure data flows properly through Messer systems.
Investigate and correct errors as identified Encourage and demonstrate cross-functional collaboration Daily oversight and analysis of area related procurement activities Assist in resolving errors, problems & issues related to site purchase orders and invoices.
Act as regional expert to handle Procurement-related questions from regional users, or to direct the questions to appropriate Corporate Procurement personnel as needed Assist in training on Procurement tools during enhancement rollout of existing tools or in teaching new users Serve as backup for other regions and areas for coverage during absences Benchmark the workload of each BPE Admin and provide feedback when large variances exist.
Review and process invoices utilizing Messer best operating practices and programs Process customer delivery documents
Qualifications:
High School degree Minimum 6 years of experience in logistics/business administration functions or Associate's degree and 4 years of experience Minimum 3 years of experience in SAP or relevant ERP system Proficient in Microsoft Office applications particularly Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams Process improvement identification and execution Join us and you will be part of a company that values and supports your career.
